RE: Bristol Fighter
Discussion
I think it looks pretty good in a reserved sort of way, and apart from the doors it doesn't look much like the old merc to me.
If they have been able to stay in business for the last few decades producing the ugly, and ridiculously priced cars they currently produce then they should have little problem shifting these at 175k each
A car for grown ups who love the build quality, strength and dynamic abilities of the Bristol but mourn the passing of the Zagato. This one will have my eyes pressed against the Kensington showroom again just like the sixties (yes I am a sad old git). Nice one Tony I must start doing the lottery, I suppose you'll need the reg number 200MPH now.
As far as I remember (Check out EVO magazine, september 2001 issue), the basic block comes from Chrysler, but Bristol make the pistons, head and all other components.
Bristol is a truly wonderful car company, making very original cars, and selling them in a very original way
I really hope this takes off.

What a fantastic car. To those of you out there who don't appeciate it, I say fine. A Bristol is not a car for riff-raff. I shall therefore continue to lust after one.
It does have shades of the 'Mid-Year' 1963-1967 Corvette in the rear window treatment however. But if a design looks good, then why not use it?
I would rather have a Bristol Fighter in my garage than a McLaren F1, seriously.
Might have to put up with a 412 for a while though until finances allow.............

Hey! That looks much better than what I've seen in the papers uptil now!
certainly looks less like the bastard offspring of a Cortina and a Firenza than their other model.
I suspect that the pictures are not of anything other than a scale/full-size model (note black 'windows' & no door handles as well as amazingly small 'panel' gaps). The picture of it moving is almost certainly photoshop edited.
Still - must applaud any British car manufacturer that's having a go...
