I'm looking at getting some new (Winter) tyres soon as my summer tyres are mostly worn.
Coupled with having a slusbox and low profile tyres I thought winter tyres would be a sensible way to go.

However I'm having trouble understanding which tyres to buy...

I've got a 10 plate Skoda Fabia vRS.
The front tyres read 205/40/17 W XL
The rear tyres read 205/40/17 84W

And I'm looking at the following:

Nexen WINGUARD SPORT
205/40 R17 84V XL BSW

Roadstone WINGUARD SPORT
205/40 R17 84V XL

Roadstone WINGUARD SPORT
205/40 R17 84H XL BSW

Roadstone WINGUARD SPORT
205/40 R17 80V BSW

Roadstone WINGUARD SPORT
205/40 R17 80H BSW

But I'm not sure what is compatible or what the difference is.
I Understand the first bit of the tyre format 205/40/17, but nothing after that. Can anyone explain?

TIA

Roadstone WINGUARD SPORT
205/40 R17 84H XL BSW

For the above case, as far as I know:

205 = Tyre width
40 = Profile (% of tyre width)
17 = Rim diameter
84 = Load index
H = Speed rating
XL / BSW = optional notes, i.e. Extra Load / Black Side Wall
Roadstone = Instant death no doubt

I am hesitant about going with a brand I've not heard of, but they do get decent reviews.

Does anyone have any experiences to share with Roadstone tyres?
