Well after the brakes gave up last winter, my '90 Vogue SE has been laid up and out of use.
I took it to the the local garage and asked their landrover expert to look at it for me, and he came back with a quote of 750 to get the brakes done, but nearer 1400 to make it road worth again due to a lot of welding on the rear inner arches.
sadly, this pretty much means its the end of road for the old girl, but i really don't want to just scrap it, so is there any market for an MOT failure like mine?

thanks,

Tom

Someone will want it as an off road only special, or for parts. Hell, give it me for free and I will put it to work. smile

Tom,

I'm guessing that you aren't prepared to sort it out yourself? reason i say that and please don't think i'm 'having a go' at you for that; i'm not.

I know that the repair panels are easily and fairly cheaply available on fleabay but its the labour costs to do the job that makes it so high. Its a time consuming job thats all, but for a competant DIY welder its a do-able job (I'd rather do the rear arches than the sills).

Oh and if you were still wanting to move it on then i'd gladly take it off your hands but i'm in Cornwall.

May all your cylinders be eight and in a V shaped layout.
