23-27" Monitor for Sky HD/PS3 and PC

Ladies and Gents, first post in this forum, please be gentle!

I am using a Dell 2407 for the above, it appears that this 1920*1200 monitor only displays 1080 (or better) when hooked to a PC.
While not happy, it has served well as a Monitor prior to being put to TV/PS3 duties on top of this for a few years so can't complain.

I am using a Yamaha RX-V367 receiver (if that is likely to be important), I would like a recommendation from personal experience of which monitor to replace the Dell with, one which will obviously give me the full HD resolution... Or am I just as well with a TV.

Well my current monitors is an iiyama b2409hds but only use on PC and not for other sources

I don't really understand your issue. Ps3 and sky hd don't go over 1080p anyway so what do you mean when you say you want a monitor that will display the full resolution? You won't get any higher out of them than 1080 no matter what monitor you use.

I want a display that will show 1080, the Dell I am using won't. (Not for Sky/PS3 anyway)
I just don't want to buy another to find that I have the same issue, hence if someone has used a monitor that will definitely work, and recommends it, I will have an idea.
