Search function not working so I thought I would ask......
Hot air only seems to come out of the windscreen vents on my Tam. Is this normal? Its a non-a/c model.
Flap position is set at 16 (I seem to recall) and the flap motor is working but only getting cold ait from the lower and mid vents. I would have though I should be able to get hot air from the lower vents.

Help needed as winter is coming......

Mine is also a non A/C model and hot air comes out of the windscreen and the lower vents but not the middle vents. My understanding is the middle vents are cooling vents with the top to clear the windscreen and lower ones to keep you warm.

Therefore you should have hot air coming out the lower vents.

Hot air out of top and bottom vents as mentioned, however don't expect too much, the heating and ventilation on the Tam is woeful, i doubt very much that A/C would make any difference either. The system has to be the worst of all the TVRs ive had (2000 Tuscan and 97 Chim) My Mrs has a MR2 Roadster and Son has a MGTF, there systems are streets ahead frown

Hot air out the top vents, and ambient air out the front vents (unless the A/C is on) - but this turns hot after about 10 mins due to the engine smile

Can't recall the flap setting but its taken from Graham's hand book biggrin

Agreed. The heater on my S2000 was amazing with the roof down on it's 'roof down' setting; would keep you warm no matter what the temperature. In the Tamora I get cold and find the heater is pretty much useless with the roof down.

I find the T350 A/C and Heating very good, the A/C can get a bit too cold and the heating can easily get too hot.

Roof 'up' though wink

Yep I read some comments about the A/C in the T350 not being that great but I actually find it quite good. Nice and cold A/C and the heater is warm but the roof does make a difference smile

Have a 4.3 upgrade. I've been driving round in my underpants with the top off and the A/C on. Don't know where the extra heat comes from but it gets mighty warm in there now. It's the only thing I'm even slightly concerned about with the new engine. Think Getsis is having the same issue with his 4.5.

Definitely should be getting warm air from the lower vents, a/c only comes from the dash vents on mine, not the lower ones or the windscreen.

I have a Tam. This has been the norm since day one

When blowing hot air (set to MAX so only the red LED is lit) air is only blown through the screen vents. When set to cold (blue LED lit) nothing from the screen vents all air flow is on the face/floor vents. In between min/max air is split between the two sets of vents dependant on where the temp setting is.

My flap setting is 25.
