Sorry for my ignorance but I am trying to locate the ECU so that I can do a reset on it by unplugging it as per instruction in the bible but despite searching the bible & under the bonnet I can't find it!!!! Does anyone have a pic of where this is located & best way to do a reset??

Many Thanks
Howard.

Passenger foot well, the back panel pulls down and the ECU sits on the left of the battery box.

to do a reset, just pull out the big fat cable. give it a minute or 2 & plug it back in. as far as i remember, the ECU relearns when the engine is up to temperature (ie. 92 or so).

I'd be looking for an air-lock if I were you. Open the brass screw on top of the swirl tank, if you can't see water that may be your problem. Occasionally the air finds its way to the pump and water circulation stops with obvious consequences.

You seem to have as much mechanical sense as me, so don't take this the wrong way but before you undo the nut on top of the swirl tank make sure the ENGINE IS COLD!!!!! otherwise you will get a big bill for plastic surgery
