Just booked hotel and crossing for 24hr!

Just booked for the 24hr! cant wait now! Anyone able to recommend grandstands to get seats for? I've found from last years prices General entry seems to be about £75 and top grandstand tickets are around £180. I was looking to get something around the £150 or below mark.

Well, you could join the ACO for about 100 euros which will get you into their tribune for nothing - and you can take your buddies with you for an extra 15 euros a skull for up to 4 guests - well that's how much it was this year.

Grandstands are a bit subjective tho so make sure you like the look of any before you part with your dollar.

Don't bother with a grandstand, there are plenty of places around the track to get a decent view and much of the fun is walking around to different vantage points.

I agree ... for instance Arnage at night is fantastic.... but I wouldn't recommend walking there....

Disagree, grandstand makes a massive difference for me. A place to sit when the place is packed. No fighting for a place, go to get food/drink and you've still got your place. Shelter from rain and sun.

I still walk around a lot and go to arnage and mulsanne though.

It is nice to have the option.

This is what I'm thinking as last time we where there was 2007 when it was soaking and we had no where to get out of the rain!

Unfortunately I have to ensure my uncle wont need to go home in an ambulance (severe back issues) and I don't want to do any thing which 'might' increase the chance of that happening.

I WILL camp one year though!

Fair enough. I came away from this years LM with slight back ache, mainly due to a deflating airbed and Maison Blanche having rocks instead of soil. For me, and many other people, the camping is a big part of the attraction

Accomodation booked at Spay and ferry to St Malo booked on Tuesday night returning from Caen. Wonderful!!

Being doing hotel, 10mins from circuit for the last few years. No return to camping for me.

A bit of comfort goes a long way. No lugging tons of gear around, no messing about setting up camp, not too hot/not too cold depending on weather, no queuing for toilet or shower, no worries about stuff getting nicked, bar and restaurant downstairs.... No, I don't miss camping!

Forgot to mention the main benefit... A proper bed with proper pillow and proper bedsheets!!

As Vette_1978's co driver next year - I completely agree ! I enjoyed the camping but am quite happy to pay a bit more for the luxuries .
