Quick question re mirrors for iva, especially for those that have been through it.

If I leave the sidescreens off for the test, are manual wing mounted mirrors passable, or do they need to be adjustable in cockpit?

Thanks

I can understand your logic and you may have gotten away with that under SVA however under IVA the guy will just look at the window opening and say there should be Glass/plastic there and the car has not been presented in a complete condition. He may assume two things (a) that you are avoiding fitting the correct mirrors and (b) you are avoiding the required EC markings for the safety glass/plastic in the windows.

I dont think so they have to be "adjustable from inside"

Hi,

I think they have to be adjustable from the drivers seat, and I think that because we have no centre mirror we need two wing mirrors. You can't reach the passneger one from the drivers seat unless you are Mr Tickle so factory mirrors it is! Unless you make some smile I'd love a set of electric CanAms for the Sport but sourced GTR ones after a long time searching.

Thanks.

I just don't like the idea of putting holes in the doors and dash for the controls, if they're going to be removed after IVA.

Any other options? For those that have fitted and removed the factory mirrors, what did you do for the dash control?

Thanks again.
