I have a Breguet Marine Chronograph RRP is £20,800 I brought it in April this year but Its hardly been worn, It was kind of an impulse buy.

I looked at trading it in with another watch but the dealers will only offer me between 12 / 13k,

Does anyone know if this watch will increase in value or lose more in time to come, I don't really want to take such a massive hit on it but then again It came with a two year warranty so it will has a year and half left and I don't think it suits me at all.
What shall I do?

Your best bet is selling it on the classifieds section of this website.

You could try TZ-UK but in order to gain the trust (no, we don't care about your 10,000 positive ratings on ebay because you cannot prove it) of the other members, you would have to buy and sell other watches of much lesser value for the next 6 months to a year. If you just rush-post 50 (the minimum to post on the Sales Corner) and post up a £20k watch, you won't get a single bite as everyone will think you're scamming them or just taking the piss... Assuming the admin doesn't delete your account before we get to see the advert.

Just a warning of what's only to be expected and not judging you.

you bought a gold watch and didn't expect to take a very big hit.

But on the Daytona thread said they are not worth it.

Smacks of troll to me.

LOVELY watch. Why would you want to sell it?

Interesting.
Innocent question, is that your perception of the market? Or phrased another way, "do Gold watches take bigger hits than other metal watches?"

Having 20 large tied up in a watch you don't wear and which has no particular sentimental value - I'd be getting rid, too.

Do you know why this is?
It doesn't apply to every brand though I'm sure. Patek and co almost exclusively make their watches out of precious metals....

Hi, haha I wasn't expecting all that!

Seriously guys I'm a honest normal guy little stupid with cash thats all, I was a impulse I thought it looked cool and to be honest it does but it does not look right on me in the slightest I'm a (as my mum would describe) Scruffy toe rag so waring a rose gold watch make me look like i have either stole it or it is a fake.

I understand the concern people may have of me selling it on a forum but I have had two offers from watch shops, In London's Burlington Arcade there is a very well respected watch shop called Amour Winston the sales guy in there knows me personally and has brought other watches from me.

I don't use ebay so have now feedback rating to go by on there. (I don't trust the site)

Anyway I am still none the wiser what i do to go about shifting this other than selling it to the trade and taking a massive 6k hit!

Would be interested to hear thoughts happy to up load photos I have all the paper work books and original packaging It really is like new.

If you try to turn this into a sales thread it will get deleted, but some pictures would be good, I looked at a Reverso in Armour Winston a few months ago, but from their prices they are aiming at wealthy American tourists who don't know better.

Oh ok thanks for that I don't want people thinking I'm not following rules.

- Please note this is not a sales thread, It is a discussion on if i should or should not sell the watch in question.

Haha Yes they are a little high they brought a JLC off me for a fair price a couple of years back, there is a guy called James in there he's really honest and although he would love to buy this off me he knows I will get more selling private.

I will upload some pics let me know what you lot think, Keep and grow in to it or sell...?
