Evening,
Can anyone suggest cars that satisfy this for under £4000? They also need to be older than 15 years so I can use my classic car insurance on them as it's so cheap!

People have suggested;
Opel Manta
Ford Capri
Vauxhall Chevette

Any more ideas?
Cheers

Does it have to be 1.5 litre or <=1.5 litre?

You used to be able to get a Caterham with the 1.4 litre K-series, IIRC.

There's bound to be loads of Jap metal that fits the bill here. They definitely made 1.5l rwd toyota corollas but I bet they're super rare in this country.

Heres one we've been discussing on the Caterham forum. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIte... Can't say I'd recommend it though.

Beetle?
Escort Mark 1/2?
Toyota Starlet?

Some of the 70s datsuns or corollas. A wee 120y is a lovely car.
