Is it too good to miss?

It would be a 2hr out of the way trip to where I'm headed tomorrow (gorge du Verdi ) but as I'm this close, must it be done?

Very entertaining and nice scenery but can be busy, maybe not worth hours out of your way to be honest given it will take 1/2 day to travel it anyway?

Do it! Whilst it's not as dramatic as the alpine passes it is much faster and in my opinion a more entertaining drive. I did it south to north on a Thursday 2 weeks ago and there wasn't too much traffic. What there was got despatched pretty quickly including some curiously slow motorbikes (mainly German/Swiss). Verdon Gorge great for sightseeing, not so much for driving.

Do the Route de Cretes on the north side of the gorge one way from the East end and very dramatic and often overlooked.
