I wonder how long it will be before Kia and Hyundai produce a really exciting drivers car at a reasonable price? I would love to see them try a small two seater sportscar to take on the MX5 or a coupe to challenge the likes of the 370Z, Scirocco or the new FT-86. They have the engineering skills and have employed some good designers. I would certainly rather drive an interesting / exciting Kia or Hyundai than a base model 1 series or A3.

Any thoughts?

The new i40 is pretty spot on for a repmobile.

That coupe is also RWD & offered with a 3L v8 in the USA
