Men's TT tomorrow , who do you think will win it?

Cancellara , Tony Martin, Wiggins?

Should Froome have been picked over Millar after his excellent TT in the Vuelta?

No doubt Froome is good but Millar is a class act who has masses of experience in the big events and would get my nod every time. I think the mens senior TT is quite open, the likes of Meier and Porte could spring a surprise but spartacus, martin and wiggo are likely to feature, of course if its raining..... the road race could be even better, what price Gilbert after the season he has had?!...

we've already got two medals, Eli Barker in the womens juniors won silver and Pooley won silver in the seniors.

Definitely Cancellara but also possibly Levi Leipheimer as an outsider. It seems he has quite good form at the moment. It would be very interesting to see what Froome does though.

Pooley got bronze.

Cancellara: the man's a sodding machine!
The remaining positions are harder to call. Tony Martin, quite likely. And I really, *really* want (and wouldn't be surprised to see) Millar up there: plenty of experience as already said.

Wiggins. Meh. He's 1000000x the cyclist I can ever hope to be, yes, BUT surely I can't be the only one grow just a little bit...weary...of the hype?

i think thats a touch harsh. Wiggins has had an incredible career on the track and a fist ful lof gold medals already. 4th in le tour, 3rd in la vuelta are some of the best results for a brit in years. the competition in the 2009 tour was very strong and he rode incredibly well to get 4th.

he cant be responsble for the hype and unlike ten henman, wiggo never comes out publicly overstating his chacnes.

He wasn't exactly shy about his own beliefs, nor overly nice about his former team Slipstream:

"It's a bit like trying to win the Champions League and to win the Champions League you go to Manchester United and I'm probably playing at Wigan at the moment. I'll probably have to make that step to do it..."
Read the Millar book and it's clear he was a c*nt to them when it mattered (final sprint of 2009).

Then there was the Sky 2010 debacle (a team failing, p'haps?) and getting beaten in the Vuleta by some young upstart called Froome.

Seems to have been off his TTing form this year though. Maybe screwed it up in an attempt to better help the Schlecks? Hope he's had time enough after the Tour to get his mojo back. I'm a huge fan of Fabs and would love him to take it again, but my money would have to be on Martin.

My gut feel is that Wiggins could spring a surprise. Here is my (no doubt flawed reasoning). Cancellara just hasn't looked the same rider this year as last, although he may have spent some time preparing specifically for this event. Tony Martin has had a cracking season, and in my view is the one to beat. But.... look at the final TT in the Dauphine (I'm ignoring the Vueata as a) I think Wiggo dehydrated and messed it up and b) it doesn't suit my argument wink. Wiggins was ahead at the early time checks and rode a decent part of his TT in the rain (Martin was in the dry all the way round). Consequently, he went down the technical descent at about the same speed as my Gran on her shopper bike. He ended up losing by 8 seconds. I for one hope he does it.

The weather could play a part as it could rain for the later runners (read favourites)
