Bleed in brain

Post stroke, treatment been administered to clear clot but it doesnt look to have worked (i think thats the term).

Condition has deteriorated overnight, breathing on her own but there is still a bleed to the brain. I understand you cannot live long from this. Are we talking hours or days?

Ok. I was more wondering if it was short term or long term. I cant go back today. I just got back 4 hours ago after a 9 hour round trip.

first and foremost sorry to hear this

how old is she? there is a difference between a clot and a stroke, as i'm sure you know. typically (though not always) when younger people have strokes it's due to a bleed (haemmorhage), and older people tend to get clots. if it's a haemmorhage and they treat it as a clot, it'll quite likely make it worse.

if it's a bleed as you say it is, it's a case of where the bleed is, and how fast it is. symptoms they have will depend roughly on what artery/arteries has/have been compromised.

Unfortunatley nan is now in a coma and we have been told to start "preparing" as well as one can.

Not really sure what is what as i am being fed dribs and drabs of info. Glad i went up last night whilst she was aware we was there.

I'm not to sure whats going on tbh. I was told by my mum is was a bleed in her head. But she had a clot as they used something to thin the blood. I'm not 100% sure. Sorry
