A few yrs ago we converted a garage to a kids room - kids too old for it now so my daughter (15) has taken it as a bedroom (more space, privacy for smaller brothers, etc)

Anyway, while it was done to building regs its never been the warmest room in the house (freezing!) and more so at night. This was never an issue before but matters now she's in there.

Can I get a cheap >100 heater from argos that will A) keep it warm, B) run on a thermostat at night and C) run cheap if used a lot?

I see they have loads but not sure what the KW means in terms of performance and cost????

I use an oil filled electric radiator in a barn/studio at home, works extremely well. Plus, it gives out 'dry' heat and doesn't cause condensation or humidity. You can buy them with a timer integrated into them, so they can come on first thing in the morning etc...

We bought an oil filled electric radiator with built in timer for use in the conservatory in winter. Think it was appx £20 on eBay and had only been used a few times.
