Hello chaps and chapesses
Can anyone recommend some covered parking in central London? The sort of place to park 20 cars for a natter and maybe a bite to eat nearby?
I never drive into the city except for tunnel runs!

How central?

Plenty of NCP car parks, but get the lube ready smile :
1 hour: £6.50
1 to 2 hours: £13.00
2 to 4 hours: £26.00
4 to 6 hours: £39.00
6 to 24 hours: £46.00

Yeah NCP is out really. Was hoping for one of those giant Tesco or Sainsburys efforts with the store on top. It's a bit chav and not realy my scene but a lot of the other guys suggested something along those lines!
Docklands, Battersea, Camden would all be fine, doesn't have to be Trafalgar Sq or owt.

Cheers!

The scary thing is, from the West Country to London it's cheaper for me to park a car near Covent Garden for 4 hours and see a concert with my girlfriend than it is to buy two return train tickets, even in advance. Of course, its an horrific experience... but it shows how motoring still makes financial sense.

North Greenwich station parking is £8 all day... that's whether you get there at 6am or 6pm - smarts a little for the evening crowd, but still not that bad value.

If that one is full, the 02 run one next door isn't too bad for short-ish term parking I don't think (maybe £10 for the day, not parked in that one for ages though).

Depends if you want to be south of the river; handy for avoiding the Blackwall Tunnel, and plenty of places to eat in the 02 I hear, tasty bacon sarni from van outside the station too smile

ETA... Pah, scratch that, it's not covered, I'll read the title better next time!

Asda carpark next to Clapham Junction station - not exactly central, but close enough.

I've not used it for a few years but if it's still open.
Pratt st car park in Camden, located under a block of flats.
Entry/exit ramp is a bit steep but the Exige cleared it ok

Yes - there are two bits to the carpark, one covered, one not.

There's a carpark under Hyde Park. Covered, secure, tasty cars (delivery Porsches, old Ferrari last time for me) and bonus - it's outside the congestion zone...

At prices like that its almost worth just parking illegally right outside where you want to go and paying the fine later.

People pay for convenience.
