Hi All

Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and it is absolutely brilliant!

It was simple to set up and the AirPlay works very well.

I have bought it as my only music player so I don't see it as an expensive dock but more a one box solution that gives excellent sound, a good compromise if you don't want seperates.

If you are thinking if buying one then I would recommend it smile

Random question as I'm not at all techy, but can the airbox be used to stream sound from your TV/DVD to the Zep as well?
I really like the look of the Zep but want speakers not only as an I-Pod dock but also for basic home cinema as well.

No. AirPlay is an Apple system that allows streaming from an iPod/Pad/Phone to an AirPlay compatible device like the Zep or an Apple TV etc.

To get sound from your TV, you'd need to run a cable to the Zep.

As said above, if you want to use the zeppelin for tv audio then you need to use a cable, that should be quite easy if the zeppelin is front and centre like a soundbar.

You can optical out from your tv or skybox/dvd player.

watch the video on this link if you like the look of the Zeppelin, would be the nicest looking sound bar smile

Zeppelin looks lovely, but the sound quality does not bear comparison with a decent sound bar....the Yamaha ones can produce some good sounds when used with a sub-woofer, in a suitable room. Audition first though...because they are a compromise and will not perform as well as separates...but you do not have a lot of unsightly wires.

Keep the Zeppelin for when you are vacuum cleaning and want some background noise! wink

My brother has a yamaha sound bar and it is very good for tv.

My Zeppelin sounds alot better for music which is what i have bought it for.

I have not looked into any reviews regards the zeppelin as a sound bar but i am sure it would be very good, it would give you an honest 2.1 system rather than claiming any tricks wink

I'm about to purchase my next TV. My old Samsung Series 8 LCD after 9 years is being relegated to bring in 4k HDR.

But alongside that I've had a craving for years for the B&W Zeppelin.

Now anywhere I go to see TVs everyone says that I need a sound bar or multi stage set up.

As I'm not overally bothered about the perfect sound but would want to better standard speakers could the latest Zeppelin do the duties for both music and TV?
