Hey,

I was wondering if any of my learned friends would be able to advise me on the following.

I have a 2003 E46 M3 and the map disc for the sat nav is badly scratched so I need a new one. Will any of the discs for BMW work in the DVD reader? Because I may as well get a new up to date map disc if it will work but don't want to waste my money.

Anyone able to help???

Thanks.

Alex.

Hey Alex,

There are three parts to consider, the firmware for the Nav, the kind of drive you have (CD or DVD) and getting the correct disk, I am not sure how up to date the CD versions will be, but I believe the E46 uses the "high" disks, where as the newer E60's and E90's use "Professional".

Worth a google as there are a number of places to aquire these disks, as well as checking compatability of firmware and newer updates to the maps - hopefully someone else will know more about this than me!

Cheers

Kris

Google is your friend on this one, I can't remember if your need Mk3 or Mk4. I've got a spare 2011 Mk4 HIGH DVD if that's what you need (unofficial one). PM me your address if you want it.
