I'm thinking of getting new wheels and tyres (or just tyres) for winter, depending on what turns up.

I might need to store the other set over winter.

Is a stand such as this OK to leave the spare set on for months ?

Any other suggestions ? Space is in the garage is at a premium, but I would prefer not to hang things off walls if possible.

The 1st stand would be ok for tyres only (not tyres on wheels) but seems a bit overkill for 4 tyres. The 2nd looks like a stand for tyres on rims, but not sure why you wouldn't just stack them horizontally on the floor (max 4 to a stack). As long as they're kept clear of oil or solvents, and stored the right way (upright for tyres only (but rotate every 4 weeks to avoid flat spots) horizontally for tyres on rims) they'll be fine without a fancy stand.

Mine are stacked in the garage on top of each other. Seems to work fine
