Plenty!

Rotechninks supply a recon engine for about £2500 all in and they seem to be pretty well regarded and give a long warranty. I've seen other places nearer £2000.

Failing that, and they are rare, but find a decent one that's been crashed and hoik the engine out of that, if the mileage and maintenance record stack up... Although it's not guaranteed to keep going.

There's a company which clearly buy up RX8s with cooked engines and resell them for much more money. Given how cheap some are at the moment it's a good tactic.

That garage is 2 minutes from me, they a good reputation and sell some tasty machinery. Worth a look, could be a cheap car?

You could always be a bit nutty and put a V8 in it.

Great value if you can source a good 2 nd hand engine and get someone to fit it (£400?) but finding a good used engine on these is tricky.

Honda S2000 engine would be a good alternative if anyone knows of someone who can do the conversion would be an interesting conversion !
