I suspect the video makes them look more fun than they actually. I'm guessing from the remote they are just 2 channel which won't offer much control.

R/C cars, boats and (some) gliders are also only two channel control .....

These are basically fancy remote control blimps, great fun I should imagine.

$39.99 in the US, so not unexpectedly we get them at £39.99 - cheap enough for an indoor toy I guess.

Of course they are, left+right & forward+reverse is fine for 2D axis of travel but when you introduce a third axis you will find that 2 channels is very restrictive. I've played around with a few 2ch toy helicopters and they get boring very quickly.

looks like 2 channel as said however looks like 1 channel is left/right/forward (no reverse), and the other channel is pitch up/down. looks fun, might need a big play space though.

I don't usually 'lol' but I did there, especially the lift scene.

So what are they filled with? `Helium will be a PITA to either leave it pumped up (and it will go flat over time) or have to keep a bottle?

Girl at 1.00 in the video is pretty though!

You have to supply your own helium to fill it with. Pity it's a limited resource that can never be replaced once it's run out.

Good fun, love the shark going for the cat at the end! Nice novel propulsion system too.

Yes Helium is a finite resourse which should be reserved for CAT scanners and Trimix diving (IMO) shame most of its wasted by the US military.

Thats said a few sq ft of party gas (which is only partially helium) isn't going to dent the supply much.

Have just seen them in the current "laminated book of dreams" aka, the Argos catalogue.
Although £40 isn't cheap, the kids would love a Nemo floating about at Christmas. smile

They're great! I can imagine children will love them, especially the Nemo (Clown Fish).

You'll find them everywhere this year. They are good , but only if you get the balloon balanced properly otherwise it's crap .
