I asked on a forum if anyone could get hold of one of the 1.8T ally Arcan jacks for me from Costco, someone was kind enough to go in and purchase one for me but got the wrong one. He said thats all they had and even though I specified clearly that I wanted the lightweight ally one, he went and got me the 3T one which weighs in at 43k apparently whereas the 1.8T is 22k and the 3T ally which is what he told me the woman on the phone said they had is 26k.

Im not sure Ill be taking it to lots of different places, would be nice to have a light one if I want to take it to track days or to a mates to work on our cars though.

Ive heard good and bad things about the Clarke and Michelin ones, Forge motorsport also do a similar one. Something about the screws coming loose and having to put threads in the or something?

Bit of a dilemna, the guys went out of his way to go get this for me.

Opinions?

Unless you are moving it around stick with the heavy metal one as it is excellent

I have the 1.8T Acran and I have to say, I love it!

Wouldn't want anything heavier that is for sure.

I have both Acran ones and the 3 ton steel one is so heavy i'd hurt my back lifting it, the ally one is much lighter and i'd recommend it to anyone,
and if you buy two you can do this!

well you can't see it but 2 jacks means you can jack up the whole front of the car to work on it
