I just bought a ECU cable it works fine, however the Software was showing the water temp up to 34c, the gauge read 105.

I have noticed the fans do not come on & it seems to run rich ?

I disconnected the lead from the temp sensor that goes to the ECU & both fans come on permanently( I prefer this to none)any tests I can do to determine if it is the Temp sensor or just buy a new one ?

Your lucky your software sees the fault. When we had to sort my temperature problem everything seemed fine but still it overheated with no fans tripping on as they should. Fault was a faulty temp sensor so I would just go and buy one to be safe.

Someone in the past may have fitted the wrong sensor, as above I would just change it, it's an easy job and inexpensive. Actual temp is probably about 90, if the gauge reads 105, that's what mine was like, had about a 15 degree offset.

My Gauge is bang on the money i had it out when doing the cooling pipes and dash and i tested it with my Digital thermometer on my multi meter and mt Infrared one as well and bang on the money both times.

I guess TVR at there best again for consistency

OK lads thanks for that, have ordered one so should soon be sorted.
Still not 100% on using the software ie getting fault codes etc ?
