Looking to take better photos - would this help?
Discussion
I am always disappointed about the photos I get when I go to race meetings or do track days. I am not an expert on photography but I spotted this lot on eBay and I wondered if it might be better kit? Specially the 300mm lens - is that long enough? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sixpennycottage/m.html?_...
why are you disappointed? - simply too far away - then this will help but then again just crop and edit will also produce results. Buying a long lens will add a whole more level of trouble in handing a lens that big, it will amplify any lack of technique.
as someone said learn to use what you got first.
there is an addage a bad photographer always blames his equipment, Its very true.
I cringe every time I see someone with a compact holding the camera at arms length and having the zoom fully extended, or taking 'landscapes' at night with the flash going off like mad.
