Looks like it.

I live practically next door to the Aagrar but I find the staff pig ignorant so wanna try somewhere else!

One on the high street has the smallest portions I've ever seen and the other I got food poisoning from :-/

That's the one, bring your own booze place.

Which do you recommend?

Threes a good one i'n Sherburn Phil, on the high street, can't remember the name though. Your right about the staff at Aagrah sometimes and it is annoying, especially as I always enjoy the food.

Yeah, it's called The Saffron, I go there often! I was wanting to find one more local...

The same people who have The Saffron in Sherburn have The Saffron in Garforth at the back of The Newmarket, but unfortunatley that's where I had serious food poisoning from. The menu is identical to the Sherburn one and I've never ever had a problem there. I want to go back but it's really put off and can't afford to be off work, again.

Agree the Aagrar food is lovely... last time we ate in they tried charging us for a whole round of drinks we didn't have, too. Weather it was a genuine mistake or they were trying it on is anyone guess but I know what I think, hence trying to find somewhere else!

i wonder if the owners are aware of that, i doubt they'd be impressed [what's the chain upto, 4-6 restaurants?]. more likely a case of the serving staff trying to pocket the difference.

I think there's 15 in total... Might be worth firing off an email, they may well send some vouchers :-D

Thanks. I'll try that. Can you recommend a nice/smart/no dheads bar close by?

The Kippax one is ok - not great, not terrible.

It's cheap because you take your own ale.

Avoid Saturday nights as its busy and they have a lot of take out trade.

Get down to Desi in Castleford. Much, much better and very friendly, polite staff.
