CDan these things just suddenly die? got a buyer coming tomorrow to pick up a car I've sold and the damn thing just died, been as right as rain for months and started first time every time damn it. I've got voltage at the primary but cock all spark from the HT end

Yes they can just fail but before replacing it I would check for a switch signal at the coil when cranking.

just checked for resistance across the primary and it's down a fair bit and the secondary is open cct
