i'm after a stocks and shares self select isa provider where I can buy and sell individual shares through my ISA allowance.

I don't want an ongoing management charge for using the service
I don't mind paying per trade
I want to ensure that I can see the dividends received clearly and I want the choice of whether or not to reinvest the dividends.

Normally invested in funds before but I prefer the idea of self select and am aware of the risks this entails, apart from i'm unsure what happens if the actual provider collapses

if I had standalone RBS shares for example and say hargreaves lansdown or the self select isa provider folded then it wouldn't matter, however what happens to your shares in say GSK, BDEV etc if the actual provider of your self select isa goes under? I presume your assets are ringfenced.

If that's so then I suppose it comes down to cost and online presence/useability so who are best chaps?

thanks

I don't know of any that don't have an annual charge....if they do I suspect you will pay through the per trade fee.

TD waterhouse appears to do so if you have over about 5k in there, can anyone confirm this?
