Hi guys,

I am looking for a practical and presentable motor suitable for seeing clients. I do a lot of city driving with some motorway jaunts too.

Trying to keep budget low - sub £9k.

Want something fun to drive and with some shove, but not mega thirsty.

Considering Saab AEROs and Alfa GT JTDs (had one of the latter before). Want to buy something with sub 60k on the clock.

What else should I be considering? I am part exing an Audi TT 225 which has had some problems and has to go!

I'm in exactly the same position with Mrs Hondafanatic's car. She's steering towards examples of BMW 118d at the moment.

I like the Alfas and Saabs in this price bracket but she's not a fan.

Audi's seem very over-priced i.e A3s have a lot higher milage...so i've also been book-marking SEATs in the £9k price range.

A nice end of line E46 330d will be in budget though.

Hi guys,

Yeah I quite fancy an E46 330d, but would want a coupé or convertible, hard to find any with low mileage sadly.

Not many A6 3.0 diesels about for that dosh either unfortunately.

530s and 535s are also out of budget too.
