Escort RS2000 MK2 X-pack

I have owned the RS for 5 years, I drove it 10 miles when I moved house and then stripped it.

This car was originally bought NEW by a squaddie serving in Germany, he bought it directly from Zakspeed (I believe they then had a Ford dealership). It was then Roman Bronze with a chocolate interior.

Car runs a WPE built pinto with BVH and a BF63 cam, running Twin Weber 48's (I also have the original Group 1 44IDF's). Gearbox is a straight cut Trans-x, and for maximum sideways fun there is a LSD in an English axle. Other Series X parts include 69 Litre fuel tank, bonnet locks, bilstein suspension, anti dive kit, plus also fitted rare opening 1/4 lites, panhard Rod, 4 pot calipers with grooved discs.

Interior is still the original Fishnet Recaro;s but they are now shod in black leather, as is the 4 spoke RS steering wheel.

Car is waiting for paint and maybe on the road next year!

I wanted to buy a bright yellow one of these about 15 years ago but my Mum wouldn't let me I was eighteen at the time and she was convinced I would kill myself in it. I suspect if the car and I had survived each other, it would be worth a fair bit more that the £3k I was going to buy it for!
