Custom made cables - who what and where?

I need a custom cable made up for a computer project. Its a 9 pin connector at one end, then some ribbon cable, then a chip socket at the other. My soldering skills are not up to this, so where do I start looking to pay someone to knock one of these up?

As this is for a little diy project I don't want to employ some electrical engineering / fabrication company as its probably not worth their while and expensive.

What's the name for a person or small company that would do this sort of work for a few quid?
