Apparently 900 sq ft of chicken run was a tad excessive for the two "free" chickens we have been given.

GLOL! nice chicken run
Answer to 'too excessive' = get more chickens (rehome ex battery ones perhaps?)

That would necessitate building another one of these. And besides using up all the scrap wood I had, I have done my carpentry for this year smile

Rocky Movie? It's been more like the Keystone Cops for the last half an hour.

Not while there's a mad man in there running around in circles and flailing his arms around trying to catch the buggers biggrin

Soon as you get rid of one another will fill its shoes...

Did you turn out that chicken wire at the bottom?

I might be teaching my Granny to suck eggs, but when you clip the feathers, please trim off the flight part parallel to the feather shaft, and not across the feather, as that is akin to clipping your fingernails by taking off your fingers at the knuckle.

IT BLOODY HURTS!

I saw a chap do this on the BBC and wanted to chop his fingers off. As yet, the BBC has STILL not broadcast a correction of this cretins behavior.

All I know about chickens is what I've read online so far.
So any advice is appreciated.

On the upside, they managed to work out how to get into their house by themselves tonight smile
(They went in about 10 minutes ago)
