I am swapping from SBC to LS and just have started to get the loom for my LS engine installed.
And while beeing there, I have brought up the central-electric to modern standards.

All necessary relays and fuses on a single circuit board! :-)

It matches nicely with the LS-Loom and turns 2 looms into 1.

Already in progress is a cnc machined mounting frame, with cover for front access, which fits into the original place and mountin holes.

I have ordered the same board (after I learned about it from Andreas) and it will go in my next built.
It is as mentioned very neat unit, which I think would be a great replacement for the old system.
I hope Ultima could supply this with a matching loom for LS engines in the future.
It is available from Wuerth that if I am not wrong are also selling into the UK.

Yes that looks a big improvement over the standard setup but the ISIS systems look better still.

Isis i do like but for all the outputs i wanted then i needed 3 output units and by the time you have the programmer and the Key fob remote its over $2000.... that's just getting a little to high for me...

well worth it imo, id rather put 2k into ISIS rather than engine mods, expensive interiors etc

Here is the link to the manufacturer: http://tinyurl.com/6zarx9y

I don't know the ISIS system, but 2k sounds a lot.

The PCB from Würth is total around 100 EUR for end customers.
With connector-housings, relays, pins and an according crimping tool you will spent around 180 EUR.

A version with CAN and programmable relais are also available.

I would like to add an additional safety feature to the electrics.
To cut off the battery in an case of a crash is a concern of me, so I will put this switch combined with a crash-sensor into my system:

It carries starter current up to 1500A for 0.2 s and 600A for 5s.

It's around 50 EUR.

Together with a crash-sensor for another 50 Euro you have a safety improvement - I don't want to miss - for around 100 EUR.

I came to the same conclusion. You need three units to build a proper system.
I needed two in the rear and one in the front.
I paid less though. It came down to $1300, at the time it was just under 900 euro including duty charges.

I have been putting a fuse after the battery 100A but did not fuse the starter cable, but this relay looks quite interesting, I had a main switch after the fuse
installed in my orange car, maybe putting this instead as a mains switch, good idea to hook it up to a crash sensor. I hope this crash sensor is not triggering with hard breaking ?

Thanks a lot, I will look at it this evening.

@Spatz, I am looking for a sensor with an implemented crash-discrimination.
Such sensors don't trigger just by exceeding a preset G-force.

I also have energize-operated fuel valves I will put on the fuel trims of the tanks.
They are from a company close to you and are (30 Euro each).
So if this relay cuts off the battery, the valves are closed automatically.

But I am also considering breakaway-couplings with a spring loaded valve for the fuel lines instead.
Which might be simpler and even more save.
