Not actually my car, but my dads - he's spent years talking about how one day he'll get one and finally, after years of heard work, he collected it on Saturday morning:

A Ferrari F430 Spider with F1 box in Rosso Red with Crema Leather:

Its so beautiful in the flesh, and sounds amazing! Unfortunately it's being taken back to Ferrari tomorrow to have some faults with the E-diff sorted, but it will only be a few days!

Just need to convince him to let me have a drive in it soon!

All comments welcome, all photos taken by myself.

Oh, that's a shame - it looks really rough.

Note: I do need my eyes tested!
"Stable" - I see what you did there.

Thanks guys, i've never seen him so happy haha, he's still grinning from ear to ear and checks up on it in the Garage every morning!

the sound is amazing - the previous owner spent about £4k putting in an upgraded sound system, but I really cant see the point. When you open it up the sound is phenomenal!

he's not much into modifying cars, which is fair enough so it will stay exactly as it is for as long as he owns is (if I had it, it would be on some new forged wheels and i'd get some exhaust mods done, but thats just me)

Hopefully it wont be at Ferrari too long so he can have it back for what is meant to be a lovely weekend!

Seems there is a leaky valve in the E-diff so this could be out of action for a while! (but might be at the Sunday Service this weekend if I can convince my old man to get up early!)

It all depends who comes with me, my brother might want to drive in his Boxster, but i'd rather drive anyway so I will probably be there in the CL - the F430 is kind of wishful thinking!

Unfortunately I didn't get to take my CL yesterday, but I still had a great day and got come down in my brothers Boxster - roof down all the way there and back! Nowhere near as comfy as the CL but still not bad!

Here's a pic I found on here that someone had taken:

Think I saw your 540, if it was the silver one? if so - really nice example mate, loved the sound too - what exhaust system have you got?

Yeah he's beyond happy with it (even if he did have the embarrassment of having to have the AA out at the weekend as the battery went flat outside Tesco - at least it made a few people's days!

He's already thinking about investing in another one or 2, looking at more classic examples though.

Yea that was me, I don't think I saw any other E39's actually! The exhaust has just had both rear boxes removed and replaced with pipe. Its a bit too loud for it really, with the autobox, a bit droney at low speeds but is near silent on the motorway so not all bad.
