Its been 700 miles, and 5 days, and I am suprised. The wedge made it in one piece.

Oil consumption was virtually nil, a small water leak on the rad (an egg cup on the tarmac this evening), but that it ...

Oh, the Headlights failed as soon as we got to portsmouth on Wed evening, one pod stuck up, the other one came off the linkage, and wouldnt lift..... Then the dipped beam screwed up... but appart from that, mechanically, SPot on.

we've just got back too.

I seem to have picked up a broken front foglight lens and i had a little missfire passing Alencon (due to crappy french supermarket petrol i reckon) but other than that a great weekend.

I made it all the way back as far as Derby only for some idiot to drive into the front on a roundabout!

Need a good body shop now - only paint though.
Bugger!

I was in Beau Sejour and saw it too - very nice.

Had a good run in and out of the traffic with a 400 before he overtook me on a straight bit and I started overheating.

Really relieved we got back with the wedge intact even if it was slowly when the sun started to get hot.I reckon the rad may be blocked a bit after several years off the road. Does anyone know the car it came from?

It's from a Range Rover - most places will recondition it. Price range £110 ~ 175.

I Believe the elbow are different to Rangie's, but Northern Radiators in Leeds recored mine with 20% extra cooling area for £145 about 4 years ago.

This is a personal recommendatioon rather than an ad, but if I'm out of order posting this, let me know

No the Rangie one will not fit. Different fittings and the rangie ones have strange things like built in oil coolers/air con thingies. Doesn't matter though as they can be reconned as you say.

A local guy who recored mine said it was from a freight rover.. yes - just have it recored or alternatively have a local specialist have an alloy
special made up (pounds more) but you will be able to point at it at local meetings and say it was bl**dy expensive and has saved 1/2 pound in weight
