Garage (Wooden) Doors. Decorator filler?
Discussion
Guys,
One of my garages has gone dull and the paint has started to pill. Some of the kids where I live including my own have started picking at it.
Looks a mess with patchy paint on the doors and lose paint on the floor.
I've rubbed off the lose paint, brushed it down now needs filling.
I want to use something that I can fill and easy sand off. I'm using some sand paper and a palm sander.
Can I use normal decorator filler ON WOOD DOORS? Was going to buy the Tesco Value stuff in the tube as its only to get me by the winter before I get them replace start of next year.

Use a resin based epoxy filler Isopon or similar. Probably the slightly flexible one.
Any ordinary filler will crack, fall out and deteriorate.
Plaster based or cellulose based fillers and all similar water activated fillers are hopeless outside.
Epoxy is substantially better harder with better grip and completely waterproof. It works on boats in the water for 50++ years.
Should do your door.
