This is the one discussed over on the Euro is Dead like the PIIGSys thread last night.

That trader is overly confident as a soothsayer though that's not to deny that much of what he says is more accurate than BBC News. Even a BSD doesn't have balls of crystal. The point remains that it's a view from the real world as opposed to the microcosm of the bbc which is filled with social bks and Wallace Gump riding in to save the bits of the world that Cordon Clown missed.

After sleeping on it I now suspect the BBC will be able to play this the way they want, portraying the combination of brutal honesty and controlled swagger as merely swagger, claiming that this is the work of the devil complete with horns and a tail and that socialism will be along soon to exorcise the demon.

When the beeb puts somebody from outside their political tent up for grabs on a solo interview, which they rarely do as that privilege is kept for the left, they'll get more mileage out of the negative reaction to a superficially calm and confident but actually slightly twunty trader despite shock horror jaws dropping.

The trader might be 100% right or wrong but it's certainly caused quite a bit of negative press about Goldman!
