Where to stay for Donnington Moto GP?
Discussion
Will be attending Donnington this year for my first ever bike GP. Have watched a lot on TV and admit it is far better to watch than F1 ( of which I am/was a great fan, having been to many UK and European GP's.)
As I have been offered the opportunity to access the paddock and see the Telefonica Honda Team up close (and meet an old friend's son - Colin Edwards) I am definitely keen to go. Having never been to Donnington, what are the suggestions regarding accomodation. I will be driving down from Aberdeen for Saturday and Sunday.

errr..........well - if you've been given a 'pass' to meet Colin Edwards, then you could stay with me.
My house is 'local' to the track........errrr......being a short 2 1/2 hour ride away
edited to say.......2 1/2 hours further south of Donny from Aberdeen - lol
Seriously - WOW what an opportunity to meet this talented rider !! You most certainly are a lucky person.......and to have his father as a friend too

Thanks for info.
Colin (Senior) and I worked together in Aberdeen in the Oil Industry in the mid-late 70's. Even then, as a youngster, I was car mad and Colin was bike crazy. I used to Hillclimb my cars and I remember Colin building a Turbochaged 1200 cc Kawasaki and demo-ing it at the local Hillclimb track near Aberdeen (Fintray).
He now lives in Conroe just outside Houston and we keep in close touch and I visit him when I go to Houston on business. He is a really great gent.
I am calling young Colin tonight to organise the details.
