0-60 in under 3 seconds is the goal. Road & Track take the Nissan GT-R, 911 Turbo S and Veyron SS and test their acceleration.

Impressive stuff:

I've read that the Lamborghini Aventador will do it in 2.8 seconds.

Its how the Americans pronounce Hyundai is what gets me, not all Americans but in the southern accents it comes out 'Hundee'

They aren't two second cars, they are three second cars. With rounding like that its no wonder so many economies are ruined.

The GTR is - as I'm sure we all know - as astonishing bit of kit, esp in off-the-line acceleration.

So the fact that the Bugatti utterly ruins it just makes that thing ever more impressive.

Mind you - the cost of it means it SHOULD be impressive - it SHOULD have turbo lasers...

It's worth noting that as well as the performance the GT-R also has 4 usable seats and a big boot. Neither of the other cars can claim that.

Ever since I was on track a few weeks ago with a Turbo S, I have been utterly astounded by it.

It's sounds like a jet and I've never seen a car accelerate like it in real life.

How many GTRs could you have for the price of a Veyron SS?
