Right, Sis currently has a 206cc, had it for a few years and now wants a change. wants something a bit more economical, cheaper to tax, insure etc. ( not the only reason for changing so please no comments about keeping the existing car being the most econ way forward)

So been looking and loads to choose from so any cars 1.0 to 1.6 considered.

So far been looking at (long list)
Yaris, Clio, 207, Punto, Mini, Suzuki Swift, Corsa, Mitsubishi Colt, Jazz, Twingo, A Class. Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Spark, Fiat Panda

Other suggestions welcome, and also interested if there are any on the list you would not touch with a barge poll.

just to add she doesn't like the Fiat 500, and the aygo/C1/107

budget is £5000.

all she wants is 4 seats, not bothered about boot space, max 1.6 engine.

Thanks smile

The only way to decide how suitable a car is, is to view a picture of the female in question

My missus has a Suzuki Swift, which is quite excellent. (Although the lack of air con on hers is a pain!)

Think they're pretty good value used too!

Swift Sport is good, not that great on mpg though with very low gearing

Hers is only the 1.3....frown But it's brilliant for nipping around in town. Will cope with longer motorway drives but doesn't exactly excel as a cruiser...and mpg at this point is rubbish. Probably because it has the aero qualities of Michelle McManus.

Thanks for the reply's all, keep them coming.

Right she's just come back to me, she likes.

Mini
Twingo
Yaris
207
Clio.

my take on this is
207, Clio and Twingo get a very late model car for very little money

Yaris, I've never been in one, but I'm sure it will last forever and would be the sensible choice.

Mini, I think in the long run it will hold it's money better then all the others. but will be a few years older for the same money. ?
