Hi

I know I asked this before but Ive lost the number and the search function is timing out.

What Im after is the BMW telephone number which I can call to get a settlement figure. Reason is the same as last time to see what the potential savings are - new mortgage funds came through and from memory the APR drops nearly 5 fold... so you see my reasoning to consider this.

Ok here are the numbrs.

APR 12.827%.
Mortgage 2.79%

I still have 27 payments to go and if I settle it now based on the number they provided and the fact it would go into my offset mortgage I would be £80pcm better off paying the same amount.

Is that £80 worth the GFV?
Or should I cut and run?

Also if I do settle would it mean I get less favourable trade in price that otherwise?

Note - you may ask why I went for that APR at the time and it was purely cashflow and that I didnt want to physially spend my savings needing cover incase times get bad. Now however things have changed.

Whats peoples views?

I guess Im setting myself up here for a so - go out and buy that VXR8 Bathurst... etc comments... lol.

If your sure that your cars actual value after 24months is going to be worth more than GFV-£1920 (break even point) then its better to cut and run.

The way things are going at the moment it be worth buttons, I think mine will and therefore I`m keeping it on PCP so I can hand it back.

Well they gave me a GFV of £4,800 for a 108k 330d M Sport Auto leather blue Pro Nav which would be 7 years and 4 months old i.e. 56 reg in Jan 2014.

In reality you've got 27 more payments, which you're saving £80 which is £2160.

Unless the BMW will be worth under £4800 minus £2160 then you're financially better off going the mortgage route.

So will it be worth more than £2640 in 2014? Probably

I'd settle it to for the sake of saving the interest, but also because you'll have no finance on the car which means it would probably be easier to dispose of privately if you ever wanted to.

I just got settlement figures myself for a similar reason which is how I had their number to hand when you posted.

I think it does make sense to do it. A sizeable saving or put it another way it pay my monthly DD for electric and gas...

Plus may consider a 335d touring m sport??
Or bathhurst s vxr8 mm

Don't get me wrong really love my car but may need more space with a baby coming shortly

Well its now cleared.

Saving me a nice amount of interest to boot.

Now must not get itchy feet..... as this is the time next 3-5 years where I can really get the value out of the car.
I'm assuming we will keep the car for a long time ie wife will have it at some far point in the future so a solid long term investment.
