Has anyone here ever had one or more buckled alloys? If so what were your symptoms?

I had my wheels on a balance machine last week and all of them are buckled - the eccentric shape of two of the rims is clearly visible as it spins on the machine - however I don't know to what extent and how much this is acceptable.

The car is not nice at motorway speeds and the vibration can go from sometimes quite low to having the car almost shuddering along - I'm assuming this is when the wheels are "harmonising".

Does this sound like buckled wheel symptoms? I'm quite happy to whip out the CC and buy a new set of wheels right now, however I'm going to be spewing if that doesn't fix it.

(Before anyone asks - car has been all aligned, all my joints and control arms are 100%). I figure it's got to be a moving, spinning part (my wheel bearings appear ok) to manifest itself in such a manner).

You need to take the suspect wheels to a reconditioners .. who may be able
to fix the buckle .. diagnosis or a phone call is free.

If they cannot then buying another is the only option .. if using Ebay you must ask then to check as you have on a balancer ..

I think buckled wheels are an MOT failure, although how much it can be buckled is down to what the tester had for breakfast that day. If you can see that it is buckled when spun on the machine then get some new/second hand ones that aren't buckled. They can be fixed, although I've never had it done, but its not cheap.

I once bucked a rear rim on a C43. Diamond Styling straightened out. They're in Sevenoaks, Kent these days.
