Good morning PH!

I've been getting my bedroom sorted out recently, new floor, AV set up etc. Now it's time for a new chair. There's a thread a few pages back but it's full of horrible meshy ergonomic crap.

I want a nice squishy comfy one! I've considered this one but I'm not sure what the quality would be like? http://www.staples.co.uk/furniture/seating/executi...

Has anyone got any suggestions?

At uni I bought something similar for 25 quid off ebay. Chair looked nearly new - no marks or anything on it and its superb. Very comfortable and much better than any other chair ive sat in!

I have that chair! It is comfortable and feels pretty well made.

I have it too!

Great chair aside from the obvious downsides of being squishy leather....sweaty and bad for your back!

After a year I now use a nasty meshy one and feel great!

I hate the nasty meshy ones at work because they eat suit trousers.

I hate the Staple ones because the arms don't fit under my desk.

Have never found an office chair I like. A couple of mates swear by the Ikea one, might give that a try.

My best advice would simply be to buy the best you can afford, and perhaps wait for a sale to get a better chair for the same money.

The cheaper ones will eventually end up feeling like you are sitting on a plank of wood after a few years, depending on usage.

Bought two from staples this month, both had 40 or 50% off IIRC.

What I would have given to have had a plank of wood instead of the £800 office chairs in some places I've worked...!

This. Those Herman Munster Aerons are massively overrated for example. Plus as mentioned before they chew suit trousers.

Ive had a multi million pound shipment of unpolished ebony to barter with, if you're in the Market for a big swaparoo!
