Recommend me some good roads...

Starting from near J17 of the M6.

I usually head up into the peaks, but getting fairly sick of the 50MPH limits/average speed check/aircraft patrols/nazi police state.

Anyone got anything fun in that area? I'm looking for a 20-60 mile blast.

Add on some extra miles and go west in to southern North Wales or northern Mid Wales.
Or, the 'B' roads near Much Wenlock, Shropshire
