Yep....with another V8 to play with I really can't justify the Chim and the money (sesible hat on) needs to be thrown into an ISA towards a deposit for a house.

So, should i try and sell now or sit on it till the spring? car is MOT'd until the end of Feb and currently taxed till the same.

Bloody loved every second i've owned the car and WILL return to the Tiv fold!!! Tuscan when fund allow!

Well you will not earn anything from a ISA, Average 2.5% and inflation running close to 5% so within a year your money is worth 2.5 less ..On 10k over 5 years you have lost £1250

People don`t realise that in 10 years will not have any savings !Worthless.

It wont be in their too long i hope wink

However i'm not overly confident a V8 sportscar is the best place to have cash tied up at the minute, are Chim prices stable atm or still sliding?

That's the BIG question: I would think that there would be a better return on your money in the spring than you'd get from a deposit-based investment.

Recent outriggers, treated chassis ... that's a lot of car for the money.

Sure you'll be back. I was planning my next TVR purchase from the moment I sold my S3.

Just come back from town (coke, alas) and took the Chim...after not driving it for a week.....God i love that car...

Roof off at night...the way the gearchange is so "right", the lovely steering, the balance, the way it pulls (i drive a diesel van during school hours frown ) and THE noise.....

I also love the feeling of standing in the car park, next to my mates car, and hearing the compliments from passers by about mine...."i wish i had the keys to that TVR" was tonights favourite.

Made me think, hold, thats MY TVR, i have the keys in MY hand...got to admit with those doe-eyed headlamps looking at me and the paint freshly polished i did reconsider my decision to sell...

Damn you TVR for making such awesome cars!!!

I know exactly how you feel mate, love my car too, but sadly just yesterday I also took the decision to put mine up for sale, but in my case it is for health reasons, & am writing the ad up as we speak. It is just getting too difficult physically for me to drive now, I have been agonising over this for a while now, & I know that now is not the best time, but needs must.

Good luck with your sale, at least you can look forward to a time when you can return to the TVR fold, something I cannot.

Speedracer, sorry to hear your sad news.

I saw your car at Wilton House and fell in love with it. I would love to buy it and will be waiting with bated breath to see how much you are going to ask for it.
