I owned this car back in the early 2000s .It was always a grin to drive but had a bad earth which would require a body off repair so I sold it. It would make the battery go flat after 24 hours if not started.
I had some mods done which took it up to 400 HP (had to remove them before sale to sell seperate). The other problems I had with this car were: the boot would rstist opening which is quite a pain when trying to fuel and the stereo would fly out when you accelerated which caused a few bruises for passengers.

Earth it somewhere else, Adjust boot cable, and put the stereo in properly?
What removable mods did you have, turbo's?

race head ,camsetc ,exhaust, filter and other engine mods above me done by local tuners(cost £4000+ then)

Stereo was fitted by TVR Garage just would not stay in and the boot was adjusted about ten times by the same garage never got it sorted.

One thing I will pass on is I would recomend that owners try a thing called ZX1 in their engines which luckily I had in mine when the fan belt went in Germany at over a hundred mile an hour without doing any damage.

It was Ocean Haze with a green leather interior and a new walnut dash.

I have used ZX1 in my cars from the Griff through my Imprezza and Aston to my latest SL. It does what it says on the bottle unlike some other things on the market.

rofl...you don't have to take the body off a Grif to solve an earth problem. A Griff has two cylinder heads, a griff has only one cam, and even in the early 2000's you couldn't get a tuner to build a 5L RV8 to make 400bhp for just 4K....

...and as for ZX1 oil treatment....well whistle

smile These products have the whiff of snake oil about them, but so long as it floats your boat, who are we to disagree? I've certainly never tried any of them. paperbag

PS. A belated welcome to PH.
