Had the car on the ramp today, first thing i noticed was all four nuts were loose on the propshaft. After jacking the rear wheel and turning there is a clunk type sound in the diff.

The mechanic is adamant the diff is broken and the nuts have gone loose from vibration ..Do you think this could be the case..

Where do i go from here ?It needs upgraded because of the extra power.
It`s the one with fins at the rear for cooling.

just send it, DHL or something.

AFAIK you don't have to do out else if the CV joints are ok (which they probably are)

i only changed my driveshafts to allow me to whack up the power/torque safely in future

Ask John Reid !

Daz,have you done the bolts up and then road tested the car since? Are you certain thats all the noise is? your noise maybe just the loose bolts in which case you need to tighten up your maintenance routine scratchchin

I had this problem took me weeks to find

The 4 nuts are just locking nuts,

So loosen them back off, then tighten the 4 bolts from behind(Allen?) once there done up, then tighten the nuts back up
