Mondeo ST220 Question

Hi All,I am about to lay up my 2006 ST220 for a couple of months if i disconnect the battery what problems am i likely to encounter and will the alarm still be operational? Many Thanks.

The alarm has a back up battery, I found this out when disconnecting my battery to fit a new reversing light switch and it went off!. Why do you need to disconnect it? My car sits for up to 3 months at a time with no issues, I just stick a trickle charger on it once in a while(although it has always started fine after long periods).

If it is going to be outdoors, how about putting a solar trickle charger on it?
