Boot lock release

Joy of joys, my boot release stopped working today.

Managed to get in and find out that the Cable had snapped at the solenoid.

Trying to get it working consistently again now, but just so that i don't go mad, is there supposed to be a return spring on or around the solenoid?

Although I can get the release working, the cable doesn't seem to want to return easily.

Any thoughts anyone?!

Problem sorted!

The solenoid was in upside down.

Done now!
