Halfords touch up kits - anyone used them?

I popped into Halfords recently to get a touch up stick for a few stone chips, and they now do these kits which include primer, paint and lacquer, plus a glass fibre brush thing to smooth the paint in.

Has anyone used these, and if so, are they any good?

Also, does anyone know what the closest match to Moonraker black would be? Audi Volcano pearlescent black looks like a good match, as does a Ford pearlescent black, but if anyone knows different, then please let me know!

It is extreemly important to get the right colour as it may look ok on pen but will be miles out on car.. I personaly dont think you need to bother with all the other bits from halfrauds, As a good motor factors sells touch up pen for about 2-3quid. depending on where your stone chip is dob some paint in it and try to build up to correct height with repeted coats its probably better to go a smidge higher than current paint but also try not to go outside the actual chip too much. Now for the hard bit "WAIT TWO WEEKS" it makes no difference how hot the weather is as it is a chemical reaction that hardens the paint and it will go buff if you do too soon. Then dependant on where chip is ie not the middle of the bonnet sand extreemly lightly with wet and dry paper with a bit of soap and water litteraly just a few rubbs to get paint level, You may scratch the surounding paintwork so be very light handed with it, Then lightly use rubbing compound, Then TCUT, Then polish a couple of times, If you have patience and take care the mark will totaly dissapear no need for laquer or primer. Remember laquer is very soft. If you get it totally wrong hand paint whole car in matt black and go for Gothic look(actually that might look quite scarey)..

Edited to say just seen your car on profile. Ring chips away, Will cost you about £40 if you tell them you are in the trade I have seen them do a pepperpotted bonnet on a Land Rover and my god they did a good job. They spray the paint into the chips, then flat off with thinners absolutely amazing, Just like new
