Guys,
help me out here: my headlights, sidelights and the dashboard lights are all flickering!

I'm assuming it's a bad earth connection - but my knowledge of electrikery is abysmal, what could it be and where do I start?

I had a similar situation with flickering lights etc.
I had an alternator that sometimes charged... sometimes didn't.
I got it swapped under warrenty, and as the battery was of unknown age & had discharged a couple of times or three I changed it at the same time.
After this I haven't had the lights flicker at all.

If I remember my electronics properly, it may be the Diode pack on the Alternator that needs changed.
I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon to correct me :-)

+1 for diode pack.

Just had this fixed on mine for the very same symptoms.

Thanks for the responses.

Where would I obtain one of these diode packs - and is it a simple change?

Ta!
